A little girl from Sioux City goes missing in the middle of the night. Relevant to this is the fact that her mom encountered an Unidentified Flying Object years earlier. Scully and Mulder begin to investigate and are frustrated by lack of progress in their search for solid answers. The government is also investigating Mulder and his methods as an agent because of accusations that he is using his position as a way to advance his search for his own kidnapped sister.
