Kiefer Sutherland (of The Lost Boys fame) stars as Agent Jack Bauer - a Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) operative who is tasked with cleaning up terrorism across the globe and protecting the United States from evil doers. The format of the show is unique in that each episode reveals only one hour in a day, and each television season consists of 24 episodes - thus each season chronicles one day in the "24" universe. The show had a very popular run but burned out quickly due to the repetitiveness of the narration/filming approach, and viewer fatigue of the terrorism topic.
