The Walking Dead follows the usual formula for the post-apocalyptic horror/thriller genre. This TV show is based on a book of the same name by Robert Kirkman and two other people. It began airing on AMC on 10/31/2010 and currently has two seasons. The show revolves around a sheriff and the small crew of survivors he has banded together with. They encounter many challenges and unspeakable horrors in their struggle to survive and find a better life in the hell-scape which has surrounded them. Not only must they fend off hoards of flesh hungry zombie savages but they also have to contend with fellow survivors who are themselves out to survive by any means possible.
